How long can I keep the chillies?

We recommend consuming the chillies within one month. Always use a clean and dry spoon to serve, and refrigerate immediately after serving. If there is any moisture on the metal lid, wipe it dry before closing the jar.

How long can I keep the ngoh hiangs and meatballs?

We steam them before freezing. Please store them frozen at -18°C for up to 2 months.

Do not refreeze after they have been thawed. Store them in the refrigerator and cook them within 24 hours.

How do I defrost the ngoh hiangs?

Move as many pieces you want from the freezer to the refrigerator and let them sit for about 10 hours. We recommend to fry/bake them when they are soft to touch and still firm on the inside. Pat dry with a kitchen towel to remove excess moisture before frying/baking.

Recommended tips and instructions can be found on our Tips & Guide page.

Can I use an air fryer or oven to heat up the ngoh hiangs and meatballs?

Yes, you can! We steam the ngoh hiangs and meatballs until they are cooked before we freeze them. You can even use a toaster oven to heat them up on lazy days.

Recommended tips and instructions can be found on our Tips & Guide page.

Any tips for crispy ngoh hiangs?

Once they are fried/baked until they are golden, lay them on a cooling rack (not a kitchen towel) with a dish underneath to drain off the oil.

They are best consumed as soon as possible.

Recommended tips and instructions can be found on our Tips & Guide page.

Do you sell fried ngoh hiangs?

Yes, they are only available as part of our Set Menus.

Can we order a box with a mix of Original and Mala ngoh hiang?
